The Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP) is a Provincial Government Agency established in 2005 under the auspices of the Department of Economic Development to provide non-financial support, financials Support, and co-ordinate stakeholders for the benefit of small, medium and micro entrepreneurs (SMMEs) in Gauteng. The Provincial Government’s decision to establish GEP as an agency that will support the establishment, growth and sustainability of SMMEs in the Province was informed by two key strategic objectives:

The Proudly South African campaign encourages the nation to make personal and organisational contributions to economic growth and prosperity in South Africa, thereby increasing employment opportunities and reinforcing national pride.
The aim of the Proudly South African Campaign is to educate consumers to buy local goods when doing their shopping, and to get businesses to procure locally. In so doing, they will be injecting money back into the country and the economy. The Proudly South African Campaign urges businesses to be members of the campaign and this is done in order to promote local goods and services and to make it easily identifiable to the consumers.

TASA strives to give you access to all the resources and tools that will help you to strengthen your business in all areas of operation. This includes empowering you with a standard contract, legal support and mediation services to protect your business from threats associated with any form of contractual work should a dispute arise therefrom. In the past, a lack of proper legal assistance available to the tooling industry meant that local tool makers and tool making companies were unable to challenge clients in the dispute process, often resulting in significant losses to their business.
As the only tool and die association that represents and promotes the interests of the tooling manufacturing industry in Gauteng, TASA membership affords many opportunities for tool companies to grow their business and make it in South Africa. Not only do we have numerous tooling initiatives in place to match the capabilities of our members with the supply chain needs of manufacturers, but we also provide them with the key support systems and exposure that will boost their capacity while helping them to become recognised as a globally competitive tooling supplier.
